Welcome to the Mine Centre School
Another School year is upon us and we would like to
thank you for popping in. Our school and its staff
continue to implement the transition to The Rainy
River District School Board. One of the goals is that of
information sharing. Any information sent home with
your child will be posted on the site.
Please check back often as we plan on updating
information on a regular basis through out the School

8:15 - Supervision Begins 8:25 - Buses Arrive 8:30 - 10:30 - First Block of Instruction 10:30 - 11:10 - First Nutrition Break 11:10 - 12:40 - Second Block of Instruction 12:40 - 1:20 - Second Nutrition Break 1:20 - 2:50 - Third Block of instruction 2:50 - Dismissal

There will be days where School Buses will be
cancelled due to inclement weather.
You are encouraged to listen to B93 FM for any Bus
Cancellations or delays especially on days when it is
obvious that Travel will be difficult

School Councils are a very important in the delivery of quality education and
ensures that parents have a voice and a way of getting involved in a child's
education. We always look forward in your involvement and attendance to one of

Upcoming Important dates
Our day of sleigh riding was pretty nippy and everyone had fun. Every
class went out to get a Christmas tree. The Kindergarten class chose
a Charlie Brown tree in which they will decorate into a beautiful tree

Over the last few months there have been a number
of meetings of The Building Committee to discuss
the planning of the new MINE CENTRE SCHOOL.
Things have progressed to a point where floor
plans and drawings have now been made and
these are available on the Rainy River District
School Board's Site
By reading to children and engaging in fun literacy
activities, parents are actively keeping their own
skills sharp while at the same time strengthening
the relation ship between the family which, in turn,
encourages lifelong learning
